Ok, there is a drive in movie theater near Houston. It is The Showboat Drive In, 281-351-5224, 22422 FM 2920 in Hockley, Texas (that's 10 mintues west of Tomball North/Northwest of Houston). It is a new 2 giant screen theater that opened in March of 2006. $5 for adults and $4 for children, ages 3-12. It plays current, new releases in double features. There is a child-friendly playground. Open 6 days a week, closed on Mondays. Opens at dusk. It's on FM 2920 between Bauer Road and Robert's Cemetry Road. Their website is www.theshowboatdrivein.com Have fun and enjoy!

Check Stewart Beach in the City of Galveston. Last summer they did a drive in movie thing a few times. I don't have a link for you but it is ran by the City of Galveston Parks Board.

All the rest have been closed for years.
There have been some popping up out around the more rural areas. I was born in a small town outside of Houston called Porter and they've got a Starlight-In drive-in theater.
The closest drive in to us, Houston, is the one in Taylor County: Abilene (Taylor County) Texas
