For a non-HDTV do this:
TV video out -----%26gt; Receiver's video 1 in
TV L audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's L audio 1 in
TV R audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's R audio 1 in
Receiver's video out -----%26gt; TV video monitor (input)
XBox360 video out -----%26gt; Receiver's video 2 in
XBox360 L audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's L audio 2 in
XBox360 R audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's R audio 2 in
DVD player video out -----%26gt; Receiver's video 3 in
DVD player L audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's L audio 3 in
DVD player R audio out -----%26gt; Receiver's R audio 3 in
You can do the same on an HDTV, but you have more options for a better picture if you have an HDTV.

The model number for your A/V receiver (kenwood vr335) doesn't match anything I can find on the internet.
The VR335 does match a Samsung DVD/VHS player.
My advice is to call a friend who might have even the slightest clue about Audio/Video hook-ups, buy him a 6-pack and just muddle your way through it.
as for the manual, go to Kenwoods site and there should be a place to type in your model number. probably in 'support' section.
there is different ways to connect it, it depends on whether your reciever is digital surround sound, or an older analog surround av reciever. X-box has an optical digital output and left/right analog outputs. definately go and get the manual online, you can also get x-box manual online.
it looks like (i think you ment vr-355) the best way to hook up ur xbox is using the stereo left/right outputs from the xbox. white = left / red = right. otherwise you'll have to buy a seperate digital to analog converter.
hope this helps!
